Saint Mary's Weekly News

Kickoff Sunday:  September 11

The choir returns to the loft;  kids and families return to Guiding RAY;  we return to 10:15 for the second service.  Cinnamon Girl Truck will come around 11:30 for a fun celebration of getting back together after a wonderful summer!

Thank you, Rev. Portia for leading us:  September 11 & 18

Thank you, Rev. Portia, for filling in and sharing your knowledge and love of God with us as we prepare to welcome Fr. Nathan back home in two weeks.

Don't Miss it!  Sept 18:  Diaconate presentation

Join us on this special Sunday when The Rev. Mary Lee Wile, deacon at St. Paul's in Brunswick, will serve alongside Deacon Christine and share the Diaconate story during both coffee hours preparing us for Christine's retirement in mid-October and opening our hearts and minds for an eventual replacement.

Save the Date:  September 25:  Fr Nathan returns to pulpit

Join us for this wonderful reunion following Fr Nathan's return to S. Mary's after his deployment as a Navy Chaplain in Bahrain for the past 10 months.

Weekday Prayers for Ukraine and for Peace:  Compass of Compassion

In a response to many people voicing their anguish during these turbulent times, we are offering a daily reflection of comfort. We will be emailing a poem, scripture, or inspiration to help lighten your sorrow, and for those who seek a direction and compass for your prayers. Please know that you are not alone. People without email may pick up a weekly copy of the offerings from the parish office.

These emails will come automatically for a week, but you must let the parish office (admin@smary.org or 781-3366) know if you wish to continue to receive these messages of hope, by simply replying YES to the email or contacting the office.

No Sun. Morning Worship on Oct 2 – Maine Marathon on Rt 88

The Marathon closes Foreside Road around 8am but come help early enough to help cheer on and give waters to the runners. It's so fun

Save the Date:  Sunday Oct 2:  3pm - Choral Evensong

Due to the Maine Marathon, there will be no morning services on Sunday, Oct. 2, but we invite you to participate in a beautiful choral evensong service at 3pm.
Sunday morning services are filled with the energy of the waking day. The evensong service is more about the coming evening and favors a reflective, meditative frame of mind.
