Welcome Back, Father David!

We have such a fondness for you and are so glad to welcome you back to S. Mary's today.  Thank you for filling in for Father Nathan as he takes a well-deserved weekend away from Falmouth. 

 

We Welcome Back to the choir loft…

Sylvia Infantine who will be filling in for Bruce for the next three Sundays on the organ.  Thank you for sharing your God-given talent with us this summer. 

 

Thursday Worship Schedule

10 am: Spiritual Reflections with Deacon Christine. Open to all, this may include a Bible study, a book study, reflective readings as well as follow-ups and conversations.

12 noon: Healing Prayers. All are welcome to gather in the Chapel to pray for those in need of healing. You can send to the Office the names of those for whom prayers are needed, or come and receive prayers for yourself or for another. 

6:00 pm: Mass On The Grass. An informal, outdoor Eucharist on the Labyrinth that is interactive and multi-sensory and appropriate for all ages. Bring your own lawn chair and/or blanket. In case of inclement weather, we'll gather in the Chapel.

 

Our 9th Annual Lobster Bake &  Auction: Saturday, August 10th 

To be held on our lawns, weather permitting. Beginning at 4:30 pm, rain or shine, join fellow parishioners, family and friends for fun, fellowship and feasting. Lobster/Steamer dinner= $30, BBQ Chicken dinner= $10, and grilled burgers and hotdogs= $5. To purchase tickets, contact Beth in the office 781-3366, admin@smary.org or Betsy & Jim Stoddard, 829-2026, jbstod@myfairpoint.net.

The Auction Committee has received many live and silent auction items thus far. Kindly consider donating an auction item to this event.  Can you offer a service or an experience? Gift certificates are very popular. If you prefer to underwrite any portion of this event, your monetary donation would gladly be appreciated. Here are a few offerings: Boston Red Sox game, a week stay on Sanibel Island, FL; tickets to Magic of Christmas; ITN membership. Contact Jim or Betsy Stoddard with any questions (see above).

 

Daily Noonday Prayer at Saint Mary's

Please join us any weekday for a brief (10 min.) Noonday Prayer in the Chapel, and let's remember to pray for one another at 12 Noon every day, no matter where we might be.

 

Missing your dish or platter?

With all the wonderful celebrations at S. Mary's, we have accumulated an assortment of serving dishes and platters.  If you are missing yours, you will likely find it on top of the refrigerator in the kitchen. Please pick it up soon.   We will keep this assortment until August 1st , at which time all will be donated to St. Elizabeth's Pantry.  Thank you!

Eucharistic Visitors take Holy Communion to those unable to worship with us on Sunday morning.  The Eucharistic Visitor today is Paul Engel.   During the week if you or someone you know needs communion, please call the Parish Office. If you wish to learn more about this special ministry, feel free to speak with Deacon Christine at any time.
