PREPARE FOR SPARKLES NOW!  December 7, 2013

Mark the date now for our 2013 Sparkles Fair! It is not too early to prepare:

Ø If you are moving, downsizing or closing an estate, please remember the Sparkles boutique as a gentle way to part with your treasures.  Distinct and beautiful things are particularly good for the sale.  If storage is a problem, we will have collection dates in the fall. Please call Jan Mordarski (899-4099) to make arrangements.

Ø This year’s recipe book will be Sweet Endings: a collection of desserts, cookies, candies and other sweet treats. You can e-mail or mail them directly to Beth Shaw at the office.  This will be our final booklet, and we want it to be the best ever!

Ø Our knitting corner is always a big hit with our wonderful offerings of knitted and felted creations. If this is your talent, start knitting and creating lovely items for sale at the fair.  We also love donations of yarns and fabrics. If you are cleaning out your "stash closet", please remember Sparkles which will be coming soon.

Coffee Hour – Help!!

We need volunteers to host our Coffee Time following the Sunday service.

Please keep in mind that Coffee Hour is meant to be a quick parish gathering, with coffee and juice available for children, along with a couple of store bought or home baked treats. Most Sundays, coffee is already made (thanks to Hugh Smith!), so it just entails a simple set up and clean up.  The importance of Coffee Hour is the gathering together of our parish.  We need your involvement…Coffee Hour can’t happen every Sunday, unless we have more volunteers. The sign up sheet is outside  the Guild Room.  FMI  contact: Betsy Stoddard,  829-2026,  jbstod@myfairpoint.net  Once the weather cooperates, coffee hour is outside; easy picnic-style and volunteer dates for summer are wide open!

Eucharistic Visitors take Holy Communion to those unable to worship with us on Sunday morning.  The Eucharistic Visitor today is Ginny Stelk.   During the week if you or someone you know needs communion, please call the Parish Office. If you wish to learn more about this special ministry, feel free to speak with Deacon Christine at any time.

Our Prayer Concerns for this week

Brigid Cooleen, Ann Tholen, Nat Fenollosa, Chip Hartwell, Liz Hunt, Keith Galli, Susan McCackeren, and Sandy Snow.
