On Thursday, April 26 at 6:30 pm, a special Kids in the Bible -Overview for Adults program will be held in the Guiding RAY space. Join Merle Marie Troeger as she leads an evening of biblical background and reflection exploring some of the well known narratives of children in the bible. Choral Evensong & Potluck: Sunday, May 6, 4pm
One of the great Anglican tradition is the choral evensong with not-to-be-missed choral pieces by the Saint Mary’s choir and the Saint Mary’s RSCM St. Cecelia Choir. This service is held in the late afternoon and is associated with particularly beautiful prayers, responses and musical anthems. If you go to a cathedral town in England, the evensong is sung every day. Join the Saint Mary’s choir and the RSCM choir for this spectacular, mystical work accompanied by our newly acquired hand bells. For the potluck, please bring a main course, side dish or salad to share. For more information, contact Bruce Fithian.
Community Care & Nurture
Please pray for the Bishop search process!
God of Grace, we give you thanks for all of the blessings of our common life and ministries as the Episcopal Diocese of Maine, and for our leaders who are guiding us through this season of change. Grant to the Discernment and Transition Committees open hearts, minds, and spirits as they receive the Holy Spirit's gifts of faith, hope, and love to aid their work. We ask also that you send courage and vision to our next bishop of Maine as she or he discerns your call. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
