Ministry Fair – THIS SUNDAY, February 9th: Find your place of ministry!
This Sunday, in the auditorium, following both the 8 & 10 services, we will hold a Ministry Fair. There will be representatives from each Guild and Ministry teams at S. Mary’s ready to tell you about their ministry and answer any questions you may have. We hope that through this vehicle you may find a place (or two or three!) where you can use your unique gifts in the love of God and the love of neighbor.

Godly Play - Christian Formation for our younger Christians
On regular Sundays from September to June, we offer a Montessori-based program called Godly Play to learn about God, the Bible, and the Church with our children. Family Chapel begins at 9:15am followed by Guiding RAY classes (age 4 through 5th grade) begin downstairs in the Parish House at 9:30am. The nursery also opens at 9:15 for our infants and preschoolers.
“The Middlers”
9:30 to 10:35 AM on Sunday mornings! In order to make the group more accessible to even more of our young people, the Middlers (all those in Middle School) will use the same schedule as our Guiding RAY classes and join their families for Communion.

Mardi Gras Potluck and Talent Show at Saint Mary’s: March 1, 5-7 PM
Mark this date on your calendar, Saint Marians! Entertainment at its finest will occur the Saturday before Mardi Gras! Andrea Myles-Hunkin, the shy, modest, parishioner we recognize from her choice of wacky legwear will be emceeing the TALENT SHOW. The last time this took place was a couple of years ago, and we had a great turnout of both spectators and talent.
Magic tricks, humor, storytelling, piano playing, singing, dancing and unforgettable moments in time occurred before our very eyes. You may be 8 or you may be 80! No matter your age, please prepare a performance to share in front of our very enthusiastic Saint Mary audience. Remember that this showcase is rated PG (since some parents may be guiding their young ones onto the stage.) We want everyone to have fun, relax and laugh away their winter blues right before the Lenten season.
For more information or to enter your act, please contact Andrea Myles-Hunkin at mylesfromhome@msn.com Remember March 1st -- be there or be square!!
Sign- up sheet for the Potluck are on the Sign-up table outside the Guild Room!!
Spiritual nourishment for all: Thursdays at Saint Mary’s
All are welcome for a time of spiritual refreshment and community. If you need help with transportation or childcare in order to participate, provisions can be made. Please ask!
10:30am: Wisdom Seekers – NEW Bible Study In February! There will be a Bible Study looking at "The Sermon on the Mount" on the four Thursdays in February. This will be particularly appropriate in that our lectionary readings for the Sundays through the end of Epiphany are taken from Matthew's Gospel. Many believe that the sermon (Chapters 5-7 of Matthew) is the heart the Gospel. Various resources will be used, including John Stott's study of the Sermon from the Lifeguide Study series. The Rev. Jim Low will facilitate the study.
12noon: Healing Eucharist with the laying on of hands for healing. All are welcome. You do not need to be ill. This is a brief, informal liturgy in the Chapel.
Saint Mary’s Book Club
The Book Club of S. Mary's will meet on Monday, February 24 at 2:00pm at Kathryn Street's home. Please call her for more information, 878-9641. We will discuss Ken Follett's "Whiteout (2004), an intrigue novel about a group of people trapped together during a snow storm. Everyone is warmly welcome to participate!
NEW! Sunday Afternoon Bible Study in Freeport
February 23 – April 13: For 8 Sundays at 5 PM, everyone is invited to join Greg & Laura Unfricht at their home in Freeport for a study of the book Christian by Andy Stanley.
