2014 Offering Envelopes: on the Table by the Guild Room
Our 2014 Stewardship Campaign kicks off on January 26, but offering envelopes for the entire year are available to those who have used them previously or those who have requested them. If you would like to have the parish provide you with offering envelopes, you may sign-up for these in the Parish House or in the Narthex of the church.
Time to Update the S. Mary's Member and Friends Directory!
This will be ready to distribute on January 26th. So we can be assured we have your most recent address, phone number and email address, drafts will be available to verify your information in the narthex of the church, at Coffee Hour for the next two Sundays and some Vestry members will be charged with getting the correct info from you also. Please help this task by checking for accuracy or by adding additional contact information on one of the copies. Also, you can use this directory for networking! See below.
A Networking Opportunity!
Are you looking for clients? An electrician? Golf or ski partners? Seeking to learn knitting or other fine skills? I bet there are other parishioners who are interested! Expand your professional and social networks by offering a few words about your vocation and/or avocations for publication in the 2014 S. Mary’s Members and Friends Directory! Email the information to Beth Shaw at admin@smary.org by January 20.

Saint Mary’s Annual Parish Meeting: VISION 2014
The Annual Meeting of The Episcopal Church of Saint Mary will take place on Sunday, January 26th, 2014, following the one combined Eucharist with the Choir at 9:00 AM. After this, we will gather in the Auditorium for brunch and a discussion with parish leadership about where we believe that God is leading us forward in 2014 and beyond. Do not fear! The Meeting will end by 12 Noon. Everyone is invited! There will be activities for our little ones downstairs in the Guiding RAY spaces during the Meeting.
Brunch Help Needed for January 26
Hospitality will be serving brunch on Jan. 26th just prior to the annual meeting. We will need strong people to set up tables, and chairs; and kitchen assistance on the morning of the 26th; and most importantly clean-up after the event. We'll need donations of fruit, breakfast breads, and juice. Sign Up sheets are in the Guild Room. It would be great to see some new faces in the kitchen!! Thank you and contact Anne LaFond alafond@maine.rr.com or 781-8820 if you are available.
Ice Skating for all on January 21, 5:30 - 7 pm
Come join Saint Marians of all ages for Family Ice Skating at Falmouth Family Ice behind Walmart. We’ll gather on the Lee Twombly Pond – the largest refrigerated outdoor ice rink in northern New England! Warm refreshments will be offered and warm fellowship shared! Please invite your friends and neighbors as well.
Mardi Gras Potluck and Talent Show at Saint Mary’s - March 1st at 6pm
March 1st is the date to mark on your calendar St. Marians. Entertainment at its finest will occur the Saturday before Mardi Gras! Andrea Myles-Hunkin, the shy, modest, parishioner we recognize from her choice of wacky legwear will be emceeing a TALENT SHOW. The last time this took place was a couple of years ago, and we had a great turnout of both spectators and talent.
Magic, humor, storytelling, piano playing, singing, dancing and unforgettable moments in time occurred before our very eyes. You may be eight or you may be eighty--no matter your age--please prepare a performance to share in front of our very enthusiastic Saint Mary audience.
Remember that this showcase is rated PG (since some parents may be guiding their young ones onto the stage.) We want everyone to have fun, relax and laugh away their winter blues right before the Lenten season.
Remember March 1--be there or be square!!
